Trust the Process

These guys... my heart!

Hubby usually feeds the animals in the mornings, but the other day he had to rush off to get to work a little earlier than normal... Leaving me to feed them instead. And so I went about my morning routine as per usual, intending to feed the muttleys as my last little chore before I left for work that morning.

Except that they didn't know that.

And my usually boisterous, barky, happy doggies were most unusually quiet and subdued. I could tell that they didn't quite know what to do with themselves.

Grant has left for the day without feeding us! Oh no!

I could see the little doggie-brain cogs whirring away behind their eyes - I could see that they weren't quite sure what the heck was going on, and that they were starting to worry about whether or not they were going to get any food at all.

So, meanie that I am, carried on with what I was doing as if nothing was amiss... Because nothing was amiss! I had a plan in mind - and everything was totally under control.
(But I still had a little giggle to myself whilst watching them fret, haha)

And I realised that this is probably what Life (the Universe, God, the Force, <insert favourite label here>) does whenever I  have any doubts in my mind. I may be worrying about something or other - wondering if this thing will pan out the way I hope it will, imagining how I can micromanage any of my options - meanwhile Life is sitting "out there" somewhere... just watching me stress over nothing... having a little giggle at my expense.

'Cos Life knows that everything always works out for the best, and it usually does.

And so remember this, friends:
Life is awesome. Trust the process.
You will be fed in time!
It may just be from a different hand today, than what it was yesterday.

♥
